    My daughter and I ate at Carmines on a trip to NYC in August, 2008. The food was exquisite and plentiful. When I heard an interview with the owner on the "Today Show" (I think), I knew I just had to buy the book for myself and my 25 year old daughter! I highly recommend both the restaurant and the recipes in this cookbook!

    Carmine's Family Style Restaurant(s) in New York City is one of my favorite places to eat when I'm in New York. The food is wonderful and the family style servings can serve a large table or a few ravenous diners. The cookbook shares so many of their delicious recipes and the instructions are presented so easily that even a novice cook could navigate through the pages and come up with a dinner the whole family can enjoy. I highly recommend this book to anyone but especially those who love really authentic Italian food.

    If you have ever eaten at Carmines and dream about their food you have got to have this book. I have already tried several recipes and they come out exactly like they do at Carmines. Of course there is no substitution for the enjoyment you get of actually dining at Carmines but this is as close as you will get to being there.
