    About the Author
    Isa Chandra Moskowitz has been cooking up trouble in New York City since the eighties, when she discovered punk rock and vegetarianism. Her public access cooking show, the Post Punk Kitchen, filmed in her small Brooklyn apartment, has been a smash hit since it hit the airwaves in 2003. She has been inspiring fans of vegan food and loud music ever since. The Post Punk Kitchen won VegNews' Veggies award for Best Cooking DVD and has been featured in media from Bust to Herbivore to Gothamist.com.     I'd marry this cookbook if I could!5
    I chose to make the Basic Chocolate Cupcakes filled with Peanut Buttercream Frosting and topped with the Rich Chocolate Ganache. They turned out perfect! The cupcakes were moist and chocolaty, the frosting was light yet full of peanut butter flavor, and the ganache was heaven in my mouth. These are much better than the fanciest cupcakes at the most expensive bakeries, and they were fun to make!

    I've been a vegan since 1989 (and a vegetarian since 1984) and didn't give much thought to baking or sweets because I didn't know how to get around dairy and especially eggs in baking. Cupcakes were the last thing I ever thought I would bake. The recipes are amazing and what I love the best is that the cupcakes don't fall apart. I baked 2 dozen cupcakes recently for my niece's birthday party and people couldn't believe that they were vegan.....

    Highly, highly recommended!!!!
